RANSON, W.Va. - Plans are underway for the ninth annual Jefferson Health Care Foundation Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, May 14 at Locust Hill Golf Course in Charles Town.
As in the past, five levels of sponsorship packages ranging from $500 to $2,000 are available to businesses and individuals with the field of golfers limited to 144 on a first-come, first-serve basis. The goal for this year’s golf fundraiser is $15,000, and Thomassen Auto Group in Charles Town will once again sponsor the hole-in-one prize.
“We look forward to another great tournament this year”, stated Teresa McCabe, vice president of marketing and development for West Virginia University Hospitals-East. “We have enjoyed outstanding support from community businesses and individuals for the past eight years, and look forward to our ninth annual tournament being our best ever.”
The Jefferson Health Care Foundation golf tournament will feature a scramble format with a shotgun start at 9:00 am and registration beginning at 8 am. The entry fee for individual golfers is $150, which includes green fees, golfer gift, continental breakfast, and refreshments on the course. Lunch and the awards ceremony will immediately follow the tournament at the Locus Hill pavillion.
Proceeds from the golf fundraiser are used by the foundation to support WVUH-East Jefferson Memorial Hospital. For more information on sponsorships or the tournament in general, call the Jefferson Health Care Foundation at (304) 264-1223.
