RANSON, W.Va. – In celebration of National Volunteer Week, April 15 – 21, West Virginia University Hospitals-East’s Jefferson Memorial Hospital recognized its auxilians, volunteers and chaplains by hosting an appreciation luncheon on Monday at the hospital.
Members of the Jefferson Memorial Hospital auxiliary were celebrated for their 2011 fund raising efforts while the 25 active volunteers were recognized for donating 5,729 hours of service to Jefferson Memorial in 2011. The chaplains were recognized for their support in establishing the spiritual care program at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in late 2011.
On behalf of the hospital administration and the WVUH-East Board of Directors, Administrative Director of Nursing Linda Blanc, RN, expressed appreciation for the efforts of all three groups and thanked them for their dedication and loyal service to Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the WVUH-East health system.
Several volunteers were recognized for having donated 100 to 6000 hours of cumulative volunteer service at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
